I have been waiting for a while for this conference and here there are a few things that capture my attention.
iPhone OS 3.0, the major announced update, will be available for free to all iPhone users (3G and original) and at $9.99 for iTouch users. The release date is on June 17th, available worldwide.
The new iPhone is called 3G S and will be available in both black and white. Pricing begins at $199 for 16 GB models and $299 for 32 GB models in the United States. Launches will occur one week later in an additional six countries, with many more launches around the world coming over the next few months. In Romania will arrive on July 9th.
Apple also improved its 13″ aluminum MacBook, rebranding the model as part of its MacBook Pro line. The new updated model offers the same non-user-replaceable battery found in the 17″ MacBook Pro and adds a FireWire 800 port and an SD card slot. Hard drive and RAM options for the 13″ notebook are the same as in the new 15″ MacBook Pro, topping out at 500 GB and 8 GB respectively and all models include backlit keyboard.
The new MacBook models offer the following price points and features:
