Japanese gaming giant Capcom has announced that its popular Devil May Cry series is coming to the Apple iPhone and Apple iPod Touch.
Set to arrive as a stripped down version of 2008’s Devil May Cry 4, which has already been a hit on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, the renamed Devil May Cry 4: Refrain promises be a bite-sized but authentic Devil May Cry adventure.
Scaled down on price as well as core content, the $6.99 USD release will centre on the vengeful Nero as he slices and dices his way through a never-ending horde of death-hungry adversaries.
According to Capcom, fan-favourite and mainstay series protagonist Dante is likely to make an iPhone appearance via a future update to the game.
In terms of gameplay, Refrain will offer up 10 levels of intense third-person action, all of which will be controlled via an intuitive touch-screen interface and accented by a bawling rock soundtrack.
Devil May Cry 4: Refrain will be available for download through the App Store by early February.
